About us

Our Purpose

The goal of this project is to create resources for teachers to draw from, in order to facilitate a diverse representation of physicists in teaching. Currently, the majority of scientists featured in textbooks and teaching come from a narrow demographic, and do not represent our modern-day physics community. By creating a slide-deck of contemporary researchers producing high-impact work, we not only diversify our teaching but we also modernize it.

We hope to create slides that are easy to use, and particularly relevant to specific McGill courses. Each slide is made to teach a particular physics concept in the context of contemporary research.
