Each page is included on the homepage somewhere (as they must if they are sub-pages of the homepage), but are navigated to on the website version using the navigation bar (creating with custom code in Super).

Homepage

The homepage is the landing page for anyone visiting the website, and contains links to all sub-pages both on the page itself and in the navigation bar.

Here is where there is direct access to the 'Featured Physicists' database, which contains all slides, speaker notes, and photos of researchers. This is the main 'content' of the website.

Additionally, the homepage contains general information about the purpose of the website and slides, as well as links to download the entire slide deck in multiple formats.

About us

This page is for anyone who wants to obtain more information about the project or the people who contributed. Most importantly, this is where we include:

  • the contributions section
  • a link to a google form for feedback
  • contact details
  • some supplemental documents for teachers to follow in order to better incorporate inclusive teaching methods

Search by McGill Course

This is where the database 'McGill Courses Table' is located, along with a description of how to use the database. The table is used for finding researchers associated with particular classes.

Search by Physics Topic

This is another page location for a database, the 'Search by Physics Topic' where each topic in the database houses a copy of the 'Featured Physicists' database, modified to only contain researchers in that field.

Recommend a Physicist!

This page acts as the homepage for anyone wishing to contribute to the project, but is not necessarily actively working on the upkeep of the project. Included on this page is a link to the 'Recommend a Physicist' google form and instructions on what this from entails.

Additionally, there is a link to the 'Guide: creating your own slides' page as well as a template for making slide contributions.

Guide: creating your own slides

This contains information for people wishing to make their own slides to submit to the website. For example, there is a description of what makes a good set of slides, who to feature, what type of content to include, and how to present it. Also included here is the template for making slides available for preview and download.
